The reigning Premiership champions have won just once in their last five matches across competitions, leading to their slip-up in the title race.
They are trailing league leaders Bidvest Wits by two points with two matches to play and anything less a win in Atteridgeville could mean that they surrender the title on Wednesday – should the Students win their match with Polokwane City.

“It will be a big game against a fantastic side with fantastic players, who will be chasing all the points to try and keep in the hunt for the title,” said Maritzburg coach Fadlu Davids.
“Everyone knows about Sundowns and fantastic quality they possess, we’ll have to be well prepared.”
Leonardo Castro could return for the home side after he was handed special leave to attend to family commitments back home in Colombia.
But Tiyani Mabunda and Wayne Arendse are expected to miss out due to injury.
The visitors, who are chasing a best-ever league finish, will miss the suspended Kwanda Mngonyama.
The men from Pietermaritzburg are presently seventh and a win in Tshwane could secure them a top-eight finish.
